we played squasss....badminton!

for some reason i had it in my head that squash was the same thing as badminton...ezra said i was such a gringo for not knowing the difference. anyway, ez and i played many heated badminton games yesterday. there's a club here which we joined, and so right after work we changed, grabbed the gear, set up the court and played until backs were drenched with sweat, arm sockets were sore and crackling and until all the shuttle cocks were featherless! it was intense (like camping)

we were joined by two other staff, and so at first we played doubles, and then a round robin tournament, and then once they left ezra and i went all out!

after we played our final game, and sat down on a bench to rest, i felt just like one of those business man who goes out with his buddies after work to the club to exercise. all we were missing were pinicaladas...but ezra can make some mean ones, so i'm sure we'll get to those sooner or later.

we finished the evening with a nice, relaxing meal at hillel cafe. that place really transports you...you don't even notice the usual smell from that street.
