this week

this week has been quite eventful. lucia and roya arrived back tan, tired but happy - they have some beautiful photos which i hope they post soon for everyone else to enjoy. on tuesday, we all took the day off and went down to tel aviv. our friend sara drove us down, and while i slept in the back seat with amelias huge suitcase covering me and roya, the rest of the passengers were getting thoroughly lost as we must have circled the city at least 3 times. we finally made it to the hostel where amelia and i were going to spend the night in preparation for her 5 am check in at the airport - lucia and roya were heading back early. they were so exhausted, lucia's head kept finding my shoulder, and she would just stare blankly as we shared stories. we took a walk on the beach which was lovely, and we discovered that tel avivers seem to have some bizarre affinity for ball and paddle games...and....um...speedos (too much people, too much)

lucia and roya caught the bus back to the airport train station about 9ish, and amelia and i walked to a corner store, got some drinks, and then went back to the hostel to prepare to sleep early. amelia was quite antsy - she was so cute though, she had to find the perfect outfit to wear tomorrow, and went through every suitcase till she found the shirt she was looking for. we finally went to sleep, or rather i did (amelia told me later that she had a very restless night). i had set the alarm for 4am because our taxi would be by at 4:30 to take us to the airport. but amelia in her readiness to go woke me up at 3:30, and we were downstairs by 4 which worked out perfectly because our taxi was early.

and so after a very fast, confusing and erratic taxi ride to the airport we go to the security check in. we decided that amelia should take advantage of the momentary lull in the security line to go on through, as we saw quite a long line of people heading our way to find they're own way through security. we had a quick goodbye, kiss, and "i love you" and i went off to the find the train station. i didn't take today off from work, and so i had to be in on time. i got my ticket and got onto the train. an hour and 45 minutes later i was dropped off in front of leon blum, and i went inside. unfortunately i didn't have any time to rest, and had to immediately get ready for work. it has been yet another long day - and will extend a little longer as i have to work slightly later tonight to finish up a project.

i've actually been quite productive today, which is surprising given how tired i am. but, wait, breaking news - i am actually really tired. i've just realized that i've left my laundry sitting too long in the washer and now need to be re-washed. sigh. no worries, such a small thing. :)

one more update - i might be moving soon.

quote for the day:

"Beware lest the veils deter you from the outpourings of His bounty in this Day. Cast away the things that keep you back from God and persevere on this far-stretching Way."
