I am myself today...

So you all are probably exhausted about hearing about how wonderful my new flat is. It has had an adverse affect in one area though - ever since I moved in, I have been just on time to work. No more arriving at 7am to get work going. I'm not sure if this is truly an adverse affect, or blessing that will provide me with the needed relaxation and rest in the morning (as well as the time for study that is just not provided at any other point throughout the day).

Unfortunately I don't have pictures yet. I'll try to take some this weekend, so that first thing next week you can all see. Also, I haven't had a chance to really arrange everything yet where it supposed to be. I keep trying to, but invariably I fall asleep.

Yesterday my friend Shireen had to go into the hospital for a procedure. Khat took her in (they are flatmates), and then later that day I joined them to see how she was doing, to keep her company for a bit, laugh (though not too much because it would make her chest hurt - which is difficult for me too you know, I mean, I'm always funny - it's very hard to turn off). Khat took some pictures that night too, and so hopefully she'll pass them on to me soon. She may even put them on her blog, so we'll see.

It is evident that human personality appears in two aspects, -- the image or likeness of God and the aspect of Satan. The human reality stands between these two, -- the divine and the satanic. It is manifest that beyond this material body, man is endowed with another reality which is the world of exemplars constituting the heavenly body of man. In speaking, man says, "I saw," "I spoke," "I went." Who is this "I"? It is obvious that this "I" is different from this body. It is clear that when man is thinking, it is as though he were consulting with some other person. With whom is he consulting? It is evident that it is another reality or one aside from this body with whom he enters into consultation when he thinks, "Shall I do this work or not?" "What will be the result of my doing this?" Or when he questions the other reality, "What is the objection to this work if I do it?" And then that reality in man communicates its opinion to him concerning the point at issue. Therefore that reality in man is clearly and obviously other than his body, an ego with which man enters into consultation and whose opinion man seeks.

Here's a photo taken from the past visit by Karen. Nathan, Karen, Roya and I took a trip to Akko. And, no, I don't know why I'm not smiling :) I was happy that day to be there, really! Nor do I understand why I look 10. It's funny, though, how the Huntsville crew meets up again on the other side of the world.
