leaving the prc at 9, one day (yesterday), 10 people, who knew each other (some better than others) embarked on a full day of pain filled cycling. yeah, i'm not even sure where exactly we went. but it was great! you know, ever since the days of soccer and cross country, i haven't felt that complete exhaustion after a period of physical activity like i did yesterday - it was glorious. it was a fun group that i went with, and we got back to Haifa around 2/2:30ish. i went home straight away and just crashed on my floor and didn't move for the longest time; just letting my body meld into my carpet, letting it become something other than what it was just then - noodle. noodle and scrapes. noodle, scrapes, scabs and blood :). i loved every minute of it.
we ended up getting lost a couple of times, and at one point we found ourselves in the midst of this arab village (we stopped at a local bakery shop and had pizza - yes, the perfect thing to sustain you when doing extreme physical activity in the hot, hot sun).
now, i've mentioned before, i have my own bike, but it's a road bike. we went to this trail where we had to rent mountain bikes. but before i can ride mine again, i'll need to let my body rest for a little while and recover and gain some sensation once more.
i love new hobbies.
(and yes, navid, i wore the brand new wrist bands that you and mona had picked out for me - i wore them for the first half hour, but then realized that i'd probably get a funky tan line if i left them on for any longer)
