a sudden music

yesterday was a good day. after a few hours at work, i went to the terraces to finish reading a novel that had been taking far too long - A Sudden Music, by Roger White. khat had lent it to me, and it was getting to the well warranted stage of "man, you're a slow reader". :) but it's all good. i finally finished it before i drifted off to sleep last night.

it was amazing...such a poetic telling of spiritual search - it is the type of book that i want to write, and my esteem for Roger White grows. i highly recommend this book. and the end. PHEW, the end, will leave you like any real good book should, with the simulateneous expressions of resolution coupled with an intense interest in the character's future; and you lie awake, fighting off the sleep, projecting into the character and choosing for them new paths.

anyway, try to get your hands on it, it will do you good.

today is bound to be a good day for the simple reason that yesterday was quite fulfilling. but today, i'm going on a mountain trail bicycle outing and then dinner tonight with lucia. so much to bless in this life.
